Notes of Gratitude
We would like to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to those who have contributed to the development of our semester long practicum project. First and foremost, thank you to Dr. Anna Flaming, director of the Center for Teaching, and Dr. Anastasia Williams, assistant director at the Center for Teaching. This project would not have been possible without your inspiring leadership and constant support. You created unity among strangers and kept us on the track to success as we all investigated our individual passions and perspectives. The grace you extended to us, reminding us that it is okay to be human, will never be forgotten, as it shines through our work.
Thank you to Meena Khandelwel in the department of Gender Women and Sexuality studies, Andrew Forbes in the Biology department, Anastasia Williams, assistant director at the Center for Teaching, Jenn Haylett in the Sociology department, and Kaydee Layne, a University of Iowa Alumni and current outreach specialist for Access 2 Independence here in Iowa City for sharing their time and wealth of knowledge to bring our podcast to life.
One of our many goals for this project was to bridge the gap between professor and student. With the use of the podcast we were able to achieve this gap and introduce a conversation for change, thank you for being part of this change we hope to accomplish. You have added to the GWSS-iness by offering additional perspectives to highlight the importance in the work and research we have done. You give our work purpose.
We have learned a lot and are very passionate about these issues. Thank you for reading this resource; we sincerely hope it was helpful and that you find ease incorporating some of the material discussed into the classroom
