Hello, my name is Selena Desir. I am a senior at the University of Iowa majoring in Interdepartmental Studies with a focus in Global Health. My goal is to learn about the diverse problems people face everyday due to health reasons and how these problems are being handled. My hope is to be able to help bring solutions to these problems. Of course, global and public health can cover a wide range of specialties but over all, I am passionate about the maternal and child health department.

I’ve been raised in Haiti most of my life and I really enjoyed the island life. Besides school, I enjoy activities such as singing, drawing, and digital creation. I randomly took this class, and my hope is to discover the unknown, and hopefully take you on this ride with me.
