Hi, my name is Mary Walker, and I am a sophomore student at the University of Iowa. I’m originally from Seattle, Washington, but am looking to stay in the Midwest after college. I am majoring in nursing and minoring in gender, women, and sexuality studies. My career goal is to become a Nurse Midwife and practice in an independent birthing clinic where I would offer free women’s health services to underprivileged communities. I decided to take this course because I felt like it would help me be able to be a better healthcare provider through learning about the human factors involved in healthcare.
