46 Reflection – Guest Speaker

When Rhonda came to our class to talk about her occupation and the effects of music with end-of-life patients at the University’s Hospital I had a new perspective opened for me. Before Rhonda came to talk about her field and occupation, I had never heard of music therapy being used for so many outlets of the health care field. I was intrigued by her visit and I wanted to explore healing through music in more depth. For my creative project I chose to use music to showcase addiction and how it effects the user and their loved ones. This specific project gave me an outlet to learn how to heal through a variety of songs and genres. Overall I am glad that Rhonda was a guest speaker as I was able to learn abut how she assists people to heal and grow through a musical experience.
