17 Learning Reflection-“What I know”

To reflect on your learning means to use metacognition skills to analyze exactly what it was that was being taught to you. By doing this, one should hopefully absorb and understand the content much better.

“What I know now about health humanities.”

Health humanities are used in a variety of ways. They separate the aspects of health and medicine when it comes to patient care. Every patient is different and needs to be given treatment according to their state of health. Race, age, gender, and ethnicity are all determinants of ones state of health. By understanding health humanities, doctors and medical professionals can better asses patients and treat them to the best of their availability.

Why Medicine Needs Art – Learning Reflection

“What will you remember about the Bill exhibit, and why?”

While attending the Bill exhibit, I found it to be very informational as well as emotionally compelling. It is hard to believe that people with disabilities were treated so harshly not that long ago. The thing I will remember most about the Bill exhibit is the strength and perseverance Bill showed through everything he went through. Although he was physically and emotionally beaten down, he never let it effect his happy personality. Because of his courage, Bill made a widespread impact through films, articles and new legislation being passed in favor of others with disabilities. Thanks to Bill, people with disabilities will never have to endure what he once did.
