3 About me

My name is Apeksha Adhikari, and I am a double major in Public and Global Health. I am someone who holds the intersectionality between being Nepalese and having a hearing disability. I am curious to know how disabilities and ethnicity interact in this class. Throughout college, I have focussed on working on campus to hone my leadership skills in several areas like violence prevention, leadership, and food insecurity. This class will help me to understand how I can combine the biomedical and humanities perspectives to create impactful changes when I am in the position/power of doing so. One of my priorities in my Global Health major is to complete an honors thesis. I hope that by the end of this course, I produce research that I can continue when I move on to grad school. Outside of school, I work as a Basic Needs manager and a desk clerk at Mayflower Hall. You will catch me watching K-dramas, reading webtoons, and participating in fun on-campus events.
