27 About Me

My name is Will Gerhardt, and I am a second year student pursuing a degree in Microbiology on the Pre-med track. I have always been fascinated by the inner workings of the human body, as well as microbes which cause disease. I am particularly interested in immunology, and the specialized functions of the countless cells which fight pathogens in our bodies. My goal is to become a physician, however I am unsure of what I will specialize in. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and volunteering. I hope this class helps me develop skills and perspective outside of the purely scientific knowledge I have accumulated.
