Hi! I’m Jasmine and I am a fourth year Global Health Studies Major with a Minor is Psychology from Ames Iowa! When it comes to the academia realm, what interests me is the experience of Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients all the way from molecular-biochemical level to a more macro systematic level and I hope that whatever my future career may be, I can investigate and improve the livelihoods of those with conditions that are currently thought of as “incurable”. Although I am taking this class as part of a major requirement and in hopes of beginning my honor’s thesis before I graduate this spring, I take this class in order to get a more rounded understanding in health through readings and discussions with peers rather than just biological or statistical information about health and healthcare. Outside of class, I love to bake, go to the gym, take photos using a film camera and read books!
