30 About Me – Ishani Gutta

I am currently sophomore majoring in Mathematics, Biology, and on the Pre-Medicine track. This is my first year at Iowa, as I transferred to Iowa from the University of South Florida. I enjoy running, crocheting, baking, reading, traveling and exploring new places. I decided to take this class to learn the humanistic side of health and wellbeing. As someone who is Pre-Med most of my learning about health is from a scientific perspective, not the social or psychological. To be a successful healthcare provider one needs to understand not just the physical but mental aspects of a patients health and this class will expose me to some of those psychological aspects of patients.
