When approaching these scenarios within your own classroom, it is important to avoid making generalizations about mental health status to students of different identities. While you are navigating these situations, make sure you are not taking on the role of a mental health provider, rather provide the resources and continue check-ins as needed. Be confident and aware of the position you hold.
