La ceremonia de honor
For this project, you will plan a ceremony that honors the contributions of a family member toward the environment. This is a very elegant event (black-tie) and includes a formal dinner. Your task is to send an invitation introducing the recipient and the contributions, explaining what the event involves, and indicating the clothing required.
STEP 1. Describe the family member who receives the award. Include 5 physical and 5 personality characteristics and two contributions to the environment.
- Physical description (5).
- Personal characteristics (5).
- State two contributions to the environment.
STEP 2. Prepare the ceremony.
- State a place, a time of day, and date (season) to hold the event.
- State the family members or acquaintances to be invited.
- Mention the type of clothing required.
- Mention it is a formal dinner.
STEP 3. State the activities you need to do (or the guests) in chronological order. List at least 7 actions that will take place during the ceremony (uses tener+que) i.e. Yo tengo que saludar a los invitados. Ud. tiene que aplaudir al premiado.
STEP 4. Prepare an invitation to be sent to the guests that includes the information you gathered.
STEP 5. As a group, present the invitations to the class either in oral or written form.
