1. Leer. Read the following paragraph and answer the questions that follow.

Mi nombre es Dolores y soy de Michigan originalmente, pero ahora vivo en Cedar Rapids. Asisto a la preparatoria (high school) y paso mucho tiempo con mis amigos. Nosotros estudiamos varios sujetos y aprendemos mucho en la escuela. Cada día como un sándwich para el almuerzo y mi amiga Xinyan come un burrito. Todos los días comemos juntas en la cafetería.

2. Completar. Learn how to conjugate regular verbs that end in -er and -ir, using “comer” and “vivir” as examples

4. Practicar. Fill out the chart below with examples of what Julián might be doing at these times.

Modelo: A las 8 de la mañana, Julián come un sándwich de desayuno.

5. Conversar. Walk around the room and ask your classmates if they do the following activities during a typical week. Be sure to conjugate your -er/-ir verbs in the tú form when you ask the question. If the answer is yes, ask them their name and write it in the box. If the answer is no, ask a different classmate.

6. Escuchar y emparejar. Listen to the following audio clip.

Paso 1. Select the time you hear from the bank.

Paso 2. Now choose three of your own times from the bank and say them in Spanish them to a partner. Your partner will write down the time you say.

Paso 1. Conjugate the provided verbs to form questions and take turns asking your partner about their schedule. Look at your corresponding schedules below to answer your partner’s questions. Be sure to write down their answers.
