Indirect-object pronouns:
- replace a/per + person(s)
- immediately precede a conjugated verb
Scrivo a mio fratello. Gli scrivo spesso. (I write to my brother. I often write to him.)
Telefono* a Caterina. Le telefono ogni giorno. (I call Caterina. I call her every day.)
* The verb telefonare (to call) is always followed by an indirect object [a + person(s)].
