Conversazione: la società e noi

Take your phone or use any video recording system at your disposal, and video-record yourself while speaking in Italian!

What are your thoughts on society: what do you think about today’s society? Are there issues you think are important? Issues that are not considered important enough? What should people do? What do you do about them? Do you get any inspiration from societies of the past? Which one? What about them? why? Do you have any advise for your peers?

Speak spontaneously for 5 minutes. DO NOT READ.

Once you have your video, upload the file or the youtube link on the course website.

Tips and Tricks

To help you prepare for this recording, and as you go through your presentation, think about answering these questions:

(usa l’imperativo).

Remember also to greet your viewer before introducing yourself and at the end.

Remember to use congiuntivo to express your opinions (the questions above might help you figure out when and how).

Use vocabulary about society to talk about society and its issues.

Group Conversation

Do you like a challenge?

If you feel audacious you can connect with a classmate and discuss societal issues together.

OR you can debate on the same topic, providing pro and con arguments.

  • Connect with a classmate (or another student of Italian) on Zoom, Microsoft Teams or another video conferencing tool and record the conversation. If you decide to do this, the whole conversation should last for up to 10 minutes.
  • Start with the questions above and conversate freely in Italian by asking and answering those and other questions that you have learned in class.
