As you can see there are many ways to get involved at the University of Iowa. Some next steps might be: find an on campus job, visit the Student Organizations page to learn more about student orgs, and explore service opportunities by making an appointment with the Volunteer Coordinator.

Track Your Engagement 

Your engagement record in MyUI provides a list of all the activities you have engaged in at Iowa. Your record outlines the activities you have participated in, the dates you were involved, your role (member, leader, committee chair, etc.), and competencies (or transferrable skills) you developed during your experience.

You can pick and choose from your various engagement activities to generate a pdf of your personal engagement record. Login to MyUI, scroll down to the “Student Involvement and Support” section, and click on the ‘Engagement Record’ tile.
