Office of Access and Support (OAS)
The Office of Access and Support, or OAS, provides campus wide recruitment, retention, and accreditation support while building the skill sets for Hawkeyes to lead our global workforce.
Access and Success
The OAS focuses on the access and success of University of Iowa students. Through individual student support and passionate collaboration, OAS support students’ educational experience by fostering an environment for students to actualize their goals and find community.
Services Offered
OAS provides support to University of Iowa students through the federally funded TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program and the Iowa Edge four-year mentorship program.
The office also supports future Hawkeyes through pipeline programs like the new John Deere Scholars program, TRIO Upward Bound, and the Storm Lake Scholars.
Academic Coaches and TRIO Success Coaches are available in OAS to assist with: academic challenges, financial aid questions, concerns or experiences with transition difficulties or any questions students may have while at Iowa.
Programs
OAS facilitates and supports programs to enhance the experiences of students on campus. It also provides many opportunities to get involved in events and attend programming that supports the development of students’ global and cultural competency.
