Recreational Services offers recreational and educational activities and facilities for the UI community.

 

 

Spaces

Most associate the department with the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center, or CRWC, also known as “the Rec”, a state-of- the-art recreation facility with a climbing wall, jogging track, basketball courts, rec pool, competitive swimming pool, and three floors of fitness space and more. They also have the Field House, Fitness East, and the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex.

Outdoor spaces include the Hawkeye Recreation Fields, Hawkeye Softball Complex, and the UI Challenge Course.

Access

Access to recreational services is paid for with mandatory student fees and – with your student ID or using your digital ID through the RecServ app – you can visit the CRWC, Field House, Fitness East, and the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex.

Programming

Recreational Services provides a variety of programming such as: Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, Personal Training, Adventure Trips, Tennis, Aquatics, Rowing, Group Fitness classes and much more.  Some offerings do require additional fees.
